Been there, SAW that, got the sixth poster

I’m amused by the fact that the SAW posters are now tired and cliche, despite the original (and maybe the second) being the leaders of the grunge-themed horror poster trend. I wonder where the genre will head next? I guess we’ll be stuck with the grunge presentations for a while yet.

As a result, the new SAW VI poster (opens October 23, 2009) smacks of nothing really original, despite keeping the trend of creating roman numerals out of funky torture items and/or body parts. Though nothing can compare the awesome original, which created a stir online in 2004.
