IRON MAN 2 just keeps on coming

While they have you waiting patiently for the trailer Marvel and paramount Pictures keep tossing enough images and posters to keep the rabid fanbase on hold juuuuust long enough. There’s only so much you can say about these kind of posters. I mean, they really are stock-standard – the teasing single number ’2′, and the big-time lead actor (in this case, Mickey Rorke) standing in-pose as Whiplash. Fanboys go mental over this stuff.

I tend to see it and go, yep – that’s a poster for a new Iron Man movie… and?

And let’s face it – the studio doesn’t need to go all out. They know they’ll sell tickets and we know we’re gonna buy ‘em - so the posters do what they gotta, and the trailer will probably make the majority wet their pants. Blockbuster hit, box office success… everyone’s happy, right?

Here’s the poster.  How long will you stop and stare at it when you see it hanging in your local cinema? I’m looking forward to the Black Widow poster, personally…
