Steamy CHLOE trailer perks interest
Steamy CHLOE trailer perks interest

I only recently caught wind of Atom Egoyan’s Chloe, an American remake of the French film Nathalie… – and for once, I’m not rolling my eyes about another pointless remake of an international film. No, in this case, I am very interested in seeing this film.
I’m a married man with kids, and I need films like this to live on the wild side a little without actually breaking any hearts or ending up in Hell… or paying $2.95 per minute. Needless to say, I can’t wait to find this listed at my nearest independent cinema. Might even take the wife along, just to be on the safe side.
Personally, it’s a classic case of wishing I had not seen the trailer — or that I had stopped it about a minute in once I knew I was going to see it regardless. I want to know as little about the plot as possible before I sit down to enjoy it. The synopsis alone is all I need:
Catherine and David, she a doctor, he a professor, are at first glance the perfect couple. Happily married with a talented teenage son, they appear to have an idyllic life. But when David misses a flight and his surprise birthday party, Catherine’s long simmering suspicions rise to the surface. Suspecting infidelity, she decides to hire an escort to seduce her husband and test his loyalty. Catherine finds herself ‘directing’ Chloe’s encounters with David, and Chloe’s end of the bargain is to report back, the descriptions becoming increasingly graphic as the meetings multiply.
Cast Julianne Moore, Liam Neeson, and the heavinly Amanda Seyfried as Chloe and consider my interest hooked.
Chloe is set for release in the States on March 18 2010. There’s no word of an Australian release yet.
