I liked to think that Shrek was special — you know, a unique and special creature, as children are often described by their parents. Then Fiona turned out to be an ogre, which is okay, because it was just a spell, or whatever, but now — now there’s a whole goddamn ogre army. And the bad guy appears to be one of those troll keyrings from the 90s, and Shrek has somehow developed an owl-like ability to swivel his head in any direction. Wait a minute, didn’t these movies used to have a donkey in them?
