Tilt your head like an inquisitive puppy at the INCEPTION theatrical trailer

May 10

Just when I thought anticipation for Inception couldn’t get any bigger, Christopher Nolan and Warner Brothers have delivered a theatrical trailer that almost knocked me off my seat. It reveals more of the film anyone has seen up to this point, yet spoils very little about the world Leonardo DiCaprio exists in. My only regret is that I saw it online first, and not in a a cinema where I could hear gasps from audience members and gauge their reaction when it finished.

I’ve said more than enough about Inception in previous posts, so I’ll let the trailer speak for itself. I’ll also post the recently-released full synopsis below for those who are keen to know more about the plot, as well as a new poster which came out last week. Prepare to tilt your head like an inquisitive puppy.

Inception is released 22 July in Australia, 16 July in the States and UK.

Acclaimed filmmaker Christopher Nolan directs an international cast in an original sci-fi actioner that travels around the globe and into the intimate and infinite world of dreams. Dom Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) is a skilled thief, the absolute best in the dangerous art of extraction, stealing valuable secrets from deep within the subconscious during the dream state, when the mind is at its most vulnerable. Cobb’s rare ability has made him a coveted player in this treacherous new world of corporate espionage, but it has also made him an international fugitive and cost him everything he has ever loved. Now Cobb is being offered a chance at redemption. One last job could give him his life back but only if he can accomplish the impossible—inception. Instead of the perfect heist, Cobb and his team of specialists have to pull off the reverse: their task is not to steal an idea but to plant one. If they succeed, it could be the perfect crime. But no amount of careful planning or expertise can prepare the team for the dangerous enemy that seems to predict their every move. An enemy that only Cobb could have seen coming. This summer, your mind is the scene of the crime.

  1. Probably my most anticipated movie this year, along with Toy Story 3. The marketing for this film has been brilliant!!

Never heard of it til now (not surprising since I rarely get to the cinema these days), but, OMFG!!!
Exactly my type of story/movie – making improbable scenario's probably through dubious explanations of technology, effects, explosions…. can't wait!

BTW – to all who've had a hand at creating, posting and keeping us all entertained – pat yourselves on the back. I always enjoy the reviews, get excited about upcoming films and have a good chuckle along the way. Excellent work!

  4. Am i missing something? I do want to see this film, but theres no anticipation for it? The marketing not hitting me or maybe distractions?
Nolan and Dicaprio you've got me there. But people are going gaga over this film like its the second coming?
