Movies like this and Gulliver’s Travels give me hope that the incompetent-star-driven comedy movie trend is just about ready to reach critical mass and implode, leaving in its wake a world free of Will Ferrell’s constant yelling, Steve Carell’s awkwardly-timed noises, and Jack Black’s draining over-enthusiasm for every single thing in the history of the universe.
Dinner For Schmucks is inflicted on US viewers from 23 July 2010; Australia receives a brief reprieve, until 5 August, with UK following up on the 20th.
