Well, well, Mr Fifty has been a busy chap of late. In addition to starring in that movie whose title I’ve already forgotten, he’s gone ahead and written and starred in another movie, this one called Gun. The trailer features crime, guns, and bad music, so you could say it’s a movie about everything that’s wrong with America; Val Kilmer’s presence, though, just confuses me, as does his hairstyle. Is it all some surreal and genius joke?
Choice line from the trailer: “You have to keep your shit out of the papers.” Thanks, lady, I’ll remember that. Also, be warned that a good third of the trailer is just footage of 50 Cent having sex with the only woman in the movie. And a goodly proportion comprises close-ups of guns, the discharge of weapons, and the discussion of firearms, which seems more offensive to me than the aforementioned sexy time.
Gun will probably come out some time in 2011, if you’re interested.
This reminds me of my class mates year 12 media film. Terrible gun sound effects, background 50 cent music and well IT JUST LOOKS TERRIBLE. WOW who is actually going to see this movie? 50 cent is failing in the music industry, so his name is not gonna draw people in, and well whose Val Kilmer? The generation of today wont know who he is.
It's a shame, because Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Top Secret! are two of the funniest movies ever.
