Teaser video suggests we prepare to be SMURF’d in 3D

Any suspicions about the upcoming live-action computer animated Smurfs film (being released August 2011) have been confirmed by the release of a spectacularly clichéd and stagnant teaser released by Sony Pictures Animation/Columbia Pictures via Yahoo! today.

Star Neil Patrick Harris is set-up as the fall-guy who gets to introduce us to the short glimpse of footage, the first we’ve seen of The Smurfs since the project was green lit. We’ve still got over a year to wait before all the kids flock to the cinemas to see it and enforce a sequel by default. At least any Smufs sequel can’t be called a ‘squeakquel’.

Wow that was terrible, wont be seeing this film. They get a big name and ruin it. Good work.
