New LET ME IN poster takes advantage of how awesome blood looks on ice

Empire has an exclusive first look of the UK’s poster for the upcoming Let The Right One In remake Let Me In. It continues with the mysterious vampire theme and takes advantage of that whole blood-on-ice effect which, admittedly, is pretty neat. I always enjoy simple, engaging posters and this certainly is that.

I felt like the first trailer for Let Me In was off the mark, looking like just another vampire movie. I guess if you do anything vampires lately it’s going to feel like more of the same unless you find something very unique. A remake can’t be unique, can it?

Let Me In is due to be released 1 October in the States. It’ll be on Australian screens before the end of the year, but no specific date has been announced yet.

Speaking of the same director. What intrigued me about Cloverfield is that the poster didnt have a name just the release date and the statue of libertys head sawn off. Now a poster like that is more intriguing without a name than a simple poster advertising the name
