Ah yes, the live-action-remake-of-a-cartoon: we’ve got that awful-looking Beastly coming up soon, we had Enchanted a couple of years back, and now we have Tink to look forward to as well, a movie focusing on mischievous fairy Tinkerbell. Elizabeth Banks is on board to play the eponymous fairy, with producers McG, Adam Shankman and Jennifer Gibgot running the show.
I’m still upset with McG for delivering that violent insult to Holy Arnie’s name with Terminator Salvation, and Shankman and Gibgot are responsible for such cinematic dross as Step Up (all three of them), Cheaper By The Dozen 2, and The Last Song, with Miley Cyrus; let’s hope they either lift their game or give the lion’s share of the power to Banks, who seems pretty keen about the project.
Banks’ on-screen efforts speak for themselves, but her behind-the-scenes performance is yet to be proven. Hopefully Tink plays out more like Enchanted than Beastly, and more doors open up in the future for the talented Ms Banks. She was the best thing about Spider-Man 3, after all, and helped turn Zack And Miri Make A Porno into something a little more complex than the smutty title implies.
Tink has been greenlit, meaning we will probably see it some time in the next handful of years. Meanwhile, Elizabeth Banks:

Mmm still not sold on Elizabeth Banks, just don't like her style, this movie dosent look promising either.
