Seems if you pitch anything to any producer and murmur the word ‘vampires’ you’ll be green lit instantly. I’ve already slung some words about my thoughts on Let Me In, Matt Reeves‘ remake of Let The Right One In, when the first trailer finally arrived a few weeks ago. A new red band trailer has just been released and, unfortunately, it still looks like too much like a blatant copy of the original film as opposed to a re-envisioning of the original novel, which is disappointing. They’ve taken a solid foreign horror film and added crash editing style and ‘horror’ techniques they feel are required to sell it to the mass Western audience. It might work, but that doesn’t make it right.
Coinciding with the new red band trailer, the Let Me In official facebook page just released this new bloody snow angel poster, which, admittedly, is kinda neat.
Let Me In is released in the States on 1 October 2010, Aussies can see it two weeks later on the 14th.
