The fourth Fast And The Furious movie, Fast & Furious, came out of nowhere and smashed the usually dead autumn frame for six. While far from being modern film classics, the dollars keep rolling in for the Vin Diesel-fuelled franchise, and that can only mean one thing: sequels.
The usual gang has therefore reunited for a fifth Fast and / or Furious flick: Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, and director Jason Lin are all back in force, with series newcomer Dwayne Johnson along for the ride.
As a complete and utter non-petrolhead, the Fast / Furious movies have never really appealed to me, but I like a good action film as well as the next fella. I’ll admit that the bunny-hopping oil tanker from Fast & Furious‘ trailer had me intrigued, so maybe there’s hope for Fast Five. On the other hand, Dwayne Johnson.
Fast Five is due in the northern summer, 10 June 2010.

If it's at all possible, it looks like The Rock got more buff. Or that's just a flattering shirt.
I have a guilty pleasure for this series. 2Fast2Furious is quite a favourite around my group of friends and its an event when a new movie in the series comes out. I usually look past the over-the-top action and car sequences just to enjoy the pre and post experience. Saying that…ive been with this series a long time and they do have some flaws with the story chronology and characters.
The reason im looking forward to this movie more than any of the past installments is the revival of all past key characters.
After Tokyo Drift threw a swing ball out of nowhere, introducing all new characters i was really pissed off, It didnt continue on the story, it had no purpose except to show what the fuel driven scene is like in Japan. Fast 4 then came out and kinda fixed the problems set from the previous entry (Tokyo Drift) by giving a backstory to one of the characters from Tokyo Drift and i kind of shrugged saying atleast they realised their problem and doing something about it.
However when i saw this exact picture form Vin Diesels (or was it Tyrese's) Twitter i will admit to some excitement for this movie as i can see that they are using this movie to solve the many plot holes created from the terrible Tokyo Drift.
Off the top of my head i think the story chronological order is:
Fast and the Furious (1)
2Fast2Furious (2)
Fast Five (5)
Fast and Furious (4)
Tokyo Drift (3)
