INSIDIOUS reviewed
Jun 18Delivers memorable, creative scares that truly deserve to be in a timeless haunted house masterpiece– but Insidious is not that film. Let down by a tacky third act that changes the sub-genre of the film from ‘haunted house’ to ‘monster movie’, it might be immediately effective but is ultimately a disappointment.

Optimus Prime insists you experience TRANSFORMERS 3 in IMAX 3D
Jun 16This new poster to promote Transformers: Dark of the Moon on IMAX 3D screens is amazingly dull for something so detailed. It looks like yet another Transformers poster, doesn’t it? I bet if the title were taken away, it’d be hard to tell exactly which movie this belonged to. As expected.

Live action BEN 10 film franchise on the horizon
Jun 16I think we have to try something fresh and go at it in a way that stays true to the original material. I have a 5-year-old and a 9-year-old, so it’s somewhere between them.”
– Producer Joel Silver
Kids love Ben 10, yo.
It’s about a lad who finds an alien watch-like-thingy that allows him to transform into 10 different kinds of alien lifeforms. Merchandise is off the charts and the cartoon is a huge hit.
So it makes sense that producer Joel Silver is keen to get a film underway, and the studio (Warner Bros.) is already pegging it as an ongoing, fuck-tonne-of -money-making franchise.
Variety has all of the specifics.
AMERICAN REUNION photo proof direct from the set
Jun 16Actor Thomas Ian Nicholas has tweeted a set photo from American Reunion, the upcoming sequel to American Pie that actually has all of the cast returning (unlike some previous sequels in the uneven franchise). It shows the original four boys in the original room they made the sex pact ten years earlier.
Don’t all get excited at once, now…
