FINAL DESTINATION 5 trailer, in which the destination remains unreached
May 10Remember how the fourth Final Destination film was called The Final Destination, not listing itself as a sequel and indicting that it was indeed the last film for the franchise? Seems nobody thought it would actually turn a profit because, when it did, a fifth film was quickly green-lit. So now you can enjoy the frantic trailer which feels like all the others before it as a cast of characters get ready to go through the same bullshit for a fifth time. In 3D (yawn).
Also remember when this was almost going to be called Anal Destination? No, really…

WHAT’S YOUR NUMBER? trailer lacks originality
May 10Gee, I wonder who she ends up with in the end?
A mix of friendly famous faces, some Ohmygosh moments (which are set pieces in films like these) and a song from P!NK in the background and you’ve got a carbon copy romcom trailer ready to sell to the female audience. Proceed with caution.
Anna Faris does go ‘full Borat’, though. That might have been interesting if it involved her wearing the ‘mankini’ and not just doing his accent. Oh well. Maybe next time, in the sequel: What’s Your Number… Again?

THE TRIP trailer extracts giggles, no choice
May 10Don’t let the plain and boring title fool you, this delightful little comedy had folks gasping for air on the festival circuit. What once was a BBC TV series has now be strung together as a film release.
The Trip sees Steve Coogan asked by The Observer to tour the country’s finest restaurants, he envisions it as the perfect getaway with his beautiful girlfriend. But, when she backs out on him, he has no one to accompany him but his best friend and source of eternal aggravation, Rob Brydon.

Watch Captain Jack Sparrow do his thing in this ON STRANGER TIDES video clip
May 04One of the biggest blockbusters of the year is right around the corner– the fourth Pirates Of The Caribbean film On Stranger Tides releases on 20 May. If you’re keen for a sneak-peek beyond the enticing trailer, you can watch Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp, I think his name is) escape Geoffrey Rush‘s palace guards in this exclusive clip from Disney. Sorry it’s in the fucking Yahoo! player– not much I can do about that.
ATTACK THE BLOCK’s scary, toothy poster
May 04
Looking forward to this witty-Brits-face-alien-invasion movie Attack The Block, even if the poster gets a little dangerously serious. The trailer was a no-brainer and word from the festivals is this one is set to be one of those cult winners that’ll land with a quiet thud at the box office but be found in every personal movie collection for all eternity.
