Here’s a picture of Ghostface on set of Scream 4, from director Wes Craven‘s Twitter. Of course, if I told you this was a pic from any of the Scream films, you’d believe me. It’s that fascinating.
Pictures directly from the sets of films in production are always a little bit ‘meh’. I guess there’s a level of excitement for horror fans and while I’m a fan of the...

It’s safe to assume Saw 3D (the 7th Saw film) is going to be mediocre, right? This franchise has a history of sometimes producing noteworthy trailers and other promotional material, getting fans (??) excited about possibly seeing a worthwhile addition to the saga and then letting them down. Hard.
Seems there’s a trickle of excitement following the new Saw 3D trailer and, yes, while it might seem...

So apparently there’s some kind of convention going on over in America where a whole bunch of people get together and discuss slim shiny books that are packed with pictures but feature relatively few words. Descending from this mysterious medium like a semi-intelligent ape from muck is a movie whose title conveniently sums up its plot: Cowboys And Aliens.
Those clamoring for a look at Daniel Craig...

I’m not going to lie to you: Jackass 3D is alarmingly high on my 2010 ‘to-see’ list. It’s always a treat to see Johnny Knoxville and the gang hurt themselves in increasingly complicated and imaginative ways. I’m not even annoyed that it’s in 3D. If anything, I think it’ll help the experience.
This photo floated out of Comic-Con, via Yahoo, and features Knoxville...

It’s been a while since the filmosphere went bananas over the last Darren Aronofsky flick, so it’s about time he served up a fresh one. This one’s got Natalie Portman in it, and comes with a fascinatingly discombobulated plot synopsis:
The dark tale with psychological twists stars Natalie Portman as Nina, a technically brilliant ballerina whose life takes some strange turns after being...

A movie about two grown geeks from Brittan who take a trip from Comic-Con to Roswell and meet an alien named Paul? Ummm, I dunno. Sounds ‘meh’.. not unless, like, the Brit lead guys were Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. Haha.
Oh! THEY ARE? …I’m in!
Here are some images of very geeky-looking Simon Pegg and Nick Frost in the lead roles of Paul, directed by Gregg Mottola in his follow-up to...

Isn’t it enough that a bunch of young ladies is competently kicking ass and saving the world, without dressing like some Fetish Barbie for your titillation? I guess not. I guess nobody would pay to see women do what men do in every single other action movie ever produced; they have to be dolled up and flashing their bodies, too. Because if women aren’t good for eye candy, what are they good...

After whipping up a quick frenzy online last week with a rash of kickass grindhouse images for Robert Rodriguez’s Machete, Fox have followed up with their awesome new theatrical trailer. It’s action packed, it’s loaded with famous names and it certainly sets an exciting tone for the film… but it’s a lot cleaner and a lot less ‘grindhouse’ than I was expecting,...

I’ve been looking forward to Tron: Legacy ever since I saw the first trailer in March. It’s not the story or the characters that grab me, but rather the pretty visuals and synthetic soundtrack. Something tells me, though, especially looking at the bike-race-crash stuff, that the movie will be more than a little bit silly when it comes out in December. Nevertheless, it continues to look gorgeous in...

Who would you cast in the role of “a small-town girl with a big voice who escapes hardship and an uncertain future to follow her dreams to Los Angeles”…? An actor who can hardly sing, or a singer who can hardly act? We’ll know sooner enough when Christina (or is that Xtina?) Aguilera makes her feature film debut in Burlesque, starring alongside Cher and directed by Steve...
