Frightfully strange new poster for CARS 2
Apr 12Disney/Pixar (yeah, that’s a ‘thing’ now) have released this rather strange retro-style poster for the upcoming June release of Cars 2. Take from it what you will. I guess the film does have that whole international spy plot going on (according to the trailer).
You can click on the poster and inspect a nice high-res version, if you’re keen.
Will Ferrell out on his ass: EVERYTHING MUST GO trailer
Apr 01I’m often fond of when comedians give the indie drama movies a crack. Like Adam Sandler in Punch Drunk Love, Jim Carrey in Eternal Sunshine and Signourney Weaver in Avatar.
Will Ferrell is giving it another shot the very entertaining Stranger Than Fiction. This time he’s playing a middle-aged guy who gets fired from his job and has his wife leave him on the same day. Bitch. Ends up with all of his stuff on the front lawn of his home… what to do? Sell it. Everything Must Go.
Seems like the perfectly predictable indie blend of dry comedy and heartfelt sentiment with plinky plonky music.
THE HANGOVER PART 2 poster starring a monkey
Mar 29Warner Bros. released the first poster for The Hangover Part 2 today. You know it’s going to be “hilarious” if a monkey is featured front-and-centre on the poster, right? Right?
Todd Phillips is directing again and the original cast are back, including Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, Jeffrey Tambor, Mike Tyson, Justin Bartha, and Ken Jeong.
New HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS PART 2 poster: Face-off edition
Mar 29I have always applauded how Harry potter matured with its audience over recent years. In this new poster for the upcoming final chapter (for realz) Deathly Hallows Part 2, Harry is all splattered in blood and stuff. Gone are the cutesy posters showing everyone floating on broomsticks and pointing off-frame. This must really be the final standoff! OMFG MUST G2 CINEMA!!1! But really, it looks positively evil, dark and gritty. Mission accomplished.
Ka-chow! New CARS 2 international poster
Mar 23Say what you will about Cars being the Pixar’s worst movie– the merchandising for the Cars franchise is the most profitable of any of their films (including all three Toy Story‘s) and shareholders worldwide couldn’t be happier about Cars 2– no matter how tacky it looks. Here’s a new international poster that’ll grace cinema walls soon. Ka-chow!
