MONEYBALL trailer finally arrives and is actually good

Cast any film with Brad Pitt and Philip Seymour Hoffman and I’ll fuckin’ see it no matter what the subject matter. I’m serious, it could be a documentary about different kinds of sand and I’d still pay top dollar to see that film.

Thankfully, in this case, it’s a pretty sweet baseball movie that almost didn’t get out of development Hell. Here it is, though. A spiffy trailer with promise and a release date right around the corner (September in the States). Check out Moneyball. Also stars Jonah Hill (that fat kid from Superbad) and Robin Right. I mean Wright. Right?

After three nervous throat-clearings, The Muppets are finally confident enough to reveal that they are, in fact, back, but this full trailer goes to lengths to trick the viewer into thinking the movie won’t be a musical. But it will.

New Years Day 2012 for us, Thanksgiving-ish for the Americans. Stars Jason Segel and Amy Adams.

I just ate breakfast, so all these impalements and head-smashings and torso-renderings and eye-gougings didn’t quite sit right with me. If you can stomach the violence, and the soul-crushingly awful background music, give this trailer a whirl. Bear in mind the unpleasantness will also be in 3D. Yay.

I think TV’s A Game Of Thrones has the corner on sex + violence + fantasy; I wonder how Conan will fair in comparison.

We get this one on the 18th of August, while America has to wait an entire day till the 19th; the UK comes in distant third with a 26th August release.

Once you get past Danny McBride‘s belaboured delivery, there are some pretty chuckle-worthy moments in this here trailer. I like the concept, too, and I don’t hate Jesse Eisenberg, so maybe this is one to look forward to.

Comes out 12 August in the US, 7 October in the UK. Aussie release date is anyone’s guess.

Festival pet-fave Attack The Block isn’t getting a proper release here (that we know of, yet), but it’s worth posting this trailer because it’s so damn funny. Here’s hoping we get a chance to catch it in the multiplex.

Opens sporadically in the States on 15 July, properly in August. There was talk of subtitles because of the characters’ heavy accents, but I don’t think Americans are that daft. They didn’t need subtitles for Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings, did they?

Oh, the trailer is ‘red-band,’ so you have to enter a date to watch it.
